What it is
An employee gets a role in each Book:
No access: cannot see the Book at all.
View: sees the Book, its entries, the balance and reports. Cannot record anything.
Data Operator: records Cash In and Cash Out. Cannot edit or delete entries unless the Book admin allows it.
Book Admin: full access to entries, reports, Book settings and activity. Can change roles of operators and viewers. Cannot delete the Book.
Why it helps
A cashier records, a manager checks, an accountant only reads.
How to do it
- Open Settings, then Business Team, and tap the member.
- Tap Edit access.
- Tap a role under each Book. Books left at No access stay invisible.
- Save.
Good to know
- You can also set roles from inside a Book: Book settings, "Who can access this book?".
- Business admins always show "Full access" and cannot be changed per Book.
