What it is
A payment mode can be marked "Treat as credit". An entry with a credit mode and a contact changes that contact's balance: a credit Cash Out to a customer means they now owe you, a credit Cash In from them settles it. Cash entries do not change anyone's balance, because the money already changed hands.
Why it helps
This is how "credit" is tracked: goods given on credit today, money received later.
How to do it
- Tap Cash Out, choose the contact, and pick the Credit payment mode. Their TO RECEIVE grows.
- When they pay, tap Cash In, choose the contact, and pick Credit. Their balance goes down.
- Open Settings, Parties to see everyone's balance.
Good to know
- You can create your own credit modes in Settings, Categories & payment modes. The credit choice is made when the mode is created and cannot be changed later.
- The Credit chip in a Book shows only credit entries.
