What it is
A payment mode says how the money moved: Cash, or any mode you add such as Bank or JazzCash. A mode marked "Treat as credit" changes contact balances instead of cash.
Why it helps
Filter and report by how you were paid, and keep credit separate from cash.
How to do it
- Open Settings, then Categories & payment modes.
- Tap the Payment modes tab.
- Tap + and type the Mode name.
- Tick "Treat as credit (affects party balances)" only if this mode means money is owed, not paid.
- Tap the three dots on a mode to Rename or Archive it.
Good to know
- The credit setting cannot be changed after the mode is created.
- Built-in modes cannot be archived.
- On the entry form, tap "+ Other" next to the modes to add one on the spot.
