Custom fields

What it is

A Book can have extra fields on its entry form: text, a number, or a dropdown with your own options. A field can be required.

Why it helps

Record a vehicle number, an invoice number or a branch on every entry, and filter by it later.

How to do it

1. Open the Book and tap the three dots at the top for Book settings.
2. Tap Custom fields.
3. Tap add. Type the Field name and choose the Type: Text, Number or Dropdown.
4. For a dropdown, type the Options.
5. Turn on Required if every entry must have it. Save.
6. Drag fields to change their order.

Good to know

• There is a limit on how many enabled fields a Book can have. The app tells you when you reach it.
• Deleting a field keeps the values old entries already have. The form just stops asking.
• Custom fields also appear in the Filters sheet of the Book.
