What it is
When you add or edit a contact from the Parties screen there is an OPENING BALANCE field with a You'll get / You'll give switch. It is the amount owed before you started using the app.
Why it helps
Your old paper customer balance does not start from zero. Neither should the app.
How to do it
- Open Settings, then Parties.
- Tap the add button, or tap a contact and then Edit party.
- Type the OPENING BALANCE.
- Choose You'll get if they owe you, or You'll give if you owe them.
- Save.
Good to know
- The opening balance counts in the contact's total together with every credit entry.
