What it is
Import reads an Excel or CSV file and makes a new Book from it. The app finds the date and amount columns, counts Cash In and Cash Out, and shows you what it understood before it writes anything.
Why it helps
Move to MoneyBook without typing your old records again.
How to do it
- Open Settings, then Import a book.
- Tap Choose file and pick an .xlsx, .xls or .csv file.
- Check the summary: entries found, Cash In and Cash Out totals, Rows skipped, Columns recognised.
- Change the Book name if you like.
- Tap Create book and import. The new Book opens.
Good to know
- Your existing Books and entries are never touched. Import always makes a new Book.
- The file needs a header row, a date column and an amount column. The app explains any problem it finds.
- Tap Choose a different file to start again.
