What the Book balance means

What it is

The number on the Book card is the Book balance: all Cash In minus all Cash Out. Inside the Book, the card at the top shows the same Net balance with Total In and Total Out.

Why it helps

One glance tells you how much money this Book has.

How to do it

1. Open a Book. The top card shows Net balance, Total In (+) and Total Out (−).
2. Each entry row shows "Balance" after that entry, so you can see the running total.
3. When a filter is on, the card shows the Filtered total, and the full Book balance under it.

Good to know

• A Book admin can hide the balance from data operators in Book settings, Data operator role.
